This 8-day journey combines the highlights of Komodo National Park with the cultural heart of Flores. The adventure starts with a private liveaboard through Komodo, where you explore iconic islands, snorkel in crystal-clear waters and encounter the famous Komodo dragons with a local ranger. After the boat journey, you continue overland through Flores, discovering traditional villages, volcanic landscapes, colorful markets and the unique spiderweb rice fields around Ruteng and Bajawa. The journey ends in Ende, from where you can easily continue to your next destination.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Boarding the private boat – sailing into Komodo National Park
In the morning you will be picked up and transferred to the harbor of Labuan Bajo. After boarding your private boat, the journey through Komodo National Park begins. The first stop is Moringa Island, followed by snorkeling at the clear waters of Manjarite Bay. In the late afternoon you sail towards Kalong Island, where thousands of flying foxes leave the mangroves at sunset. Dinner prepared by the crew and overnight on board.
Iconic islands, Komodo dragons and manta rays
After breakfast on board, you sail towards Padar Island. A short hike rewards you with one of the most iconic viewpoints of Indonesia. Next, enjoy time at the famous Pink Beach where you can relax or snorkel. On Komodo Island, a local ranger guides you on a walk to spot the impressive Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. The day ends at Manta Point, where you may have the chance to snorkel with manta rays. Dinner and overnight on the boat.
Snorkeling and return to Flores
Enjoy breakfast on board while sailing through the islands. The first stop of the day is Siaba Island, known for its vibrant coral reefs and turtles. After snorkeling, continue to Sebayur for another swim or snorkel session. In the afternoon, the boat returns to Labuan Bajo. Transfer to your hotel in Labuan Bajo and end of the Komodo liveaboard experience.
Overland journey from Labuan Bajo to Ruteng
After breakfast at the hotel in Labuan Bajo, you depart by car towards Ruteng. Along the way, you stop at the famous spiderweb rice fields, a unique landscape and perfect photo opportunity. Arrival in Ruteng in the afternoon, followed by an overnight stay.
Sunrise at the spiderweb rice fields and onward to Bajawa
Early in the morning, you make a short hike to the spiderweb rice fields to witness sunrise. After sunrise, you enjoy breakfast before continuing the journey by car. You stop at Wolobobo Hill, offering beautiful views of Mount Inerie. Later that day, you arrive in Bajawa where you spend the night.
Traditional villages of Flores and journey to Moni
After breakfast, you travel to the traditional village of Bena, known for its authentic houses and strong cultural heritage. Here you learn more about daily life and traditions on Flores. After visiting Bena, you continue towards Moni, stopping at Blue Stone Beach along the way for a short break and photos. Arrival in Moni, where you can relax and prepare for the Kelimutu hike.
Sunrise hike at Mount Kelimutu and journey to Ende
Early in the morning, you depart for the hike up Mount Kelimutu. Kelimutu is famous for its three-colored crater lakes, which change color several times a year. After enjoying the views at the summit, you descend and continue to the Wolopaku coffee plantation. Here you learn about locally grown coffee before continuing to Ende for an overnight stay.
End of the Flores journey
After breakfast at the hotel, you are transferred to the airport of Ende. From here, you continue your journey to the next destination.
