Terms and Conditions

1. Applicability

These terms and conditions apply to all agreements between Beyond Local and the customer, regarding the booked trips and tours. A package tour is defined as a combined tour offered with a guide, transport, and/or accommodation.

2. Booking and Payment

When making a reservation, the customer must pay a deposit of 25% of the total price. The remaining 75% must be paid no later than three weeks before the start of the tour. If the booking is made within three weeks of departure, the full amount must be paid at once. If payment is not received on time, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.

3. GGTO Guarantee Fund

Beyond Local is affiliated with the GGTO guarantee fund. This provides financial protection in case we are unable to fulfill our obligations due to unforeseen circumstances. For this coverage, we charge a mandatory contribution of €9.00 per person, which is part of the total travel price.

4. Guide Availability

We aim to provide a guide within our direct network, it might be that they use a guide within their network. We always provide a local guide that is not provided by big organisations

5. Cancellation

Cancellations by the customer must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply: Cancellation up to 30 days before the start: 10% of the travel price, Cancellation within 30 days before the start: 50% of the travel price, Cancellation within 7 days before the start or no-show: 100% of the travel price

6. Changes by Beyond Local

We reserve the right to make changes to the program, price, or services if circumstances require.

7. Liability

Beyond Local is only liable for direct damage caused by intent or gross negligence, with a maximum liability equal to the travel price.

8. Travel Documents and Visa

The customer is responsible for obtaining the necessary travel documents, visas, and vaccinations in time.

9. Complaints

Complaints about the service or the trip can be submitted via the contact form on our website. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

10. Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure, we are entitled to change or dissolve the agreement without being liable for damages.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

This agreement is governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
