The idea for Beyond Local was born in 2023, during a trip with Rachman – a local guide who truly moved us with his stories and deep passion for Indonesia. That journey opened our eyes: traveling with a local offers far more depth, connection, and authenticity than a typical tour package from a big operator. In 2025, we decided to bring our dream to life. With a deep love for Indonesia – and Asia as a whole – our goal is to create unique, small-scale trips that honor the land, its people, and its culture.
